Holiday Giving Guide: Five Toys We Love

December 02, 2008

I am sure that most of you are deep into your holiday shopping  list at this point.  Savvy Source has some great recommendations for toys for the little ones on your list.  If you haven't checked out their savvy suggestions, definitely pop over and have a look.  Here are a few of our favorites:

We love this game. We also have Spanish Flash Cards from eeBoo that use the same adorable illustrations. My daughter has picked up dozens of Spanish words from playing with this item.

My son has this lunch box and he adores it (even though he doesn't stay at school for lunch yet). We bring it with us on day trips when we are having a packed lunch. He feels "big" like his older sister. I actually have only good things to say about all of the Crocodile Creek products we have used over the years (including puzzles, place mats, etc.). I think that the illustrations are particularly excellent.

We don't leave home for a trip without these things. My daughter plays independently with them for hours. This is my pick for stocking stuffer of the year.

(4) Lincoln Logs

My Mom gave my son a set of Lincoln Logs for Christmas last year and they have become one of his favorite toys. And my husband loves to play with them too. This is certainly a timeless gift choice.

My son wears his fireman costume on a weekly basis. I think that dress up clothes are a great gift for kids because it is all about imaginative play (plus they could not be any cuter in their outfits!)

Check back next week for more savvy gift suggestions.
